Being born and raised in Southern California, I grew up with a strong connection to the outdoors; camping, hiking, skiing and playing in the mountains, desert and ocean.In 1979, I moved to Vermont to ski for a season in Stowe. I arrived that summer to settle in and prepare for the upcoming winter season when something I never expected happened... summertime in Vermont! I'm not saying I didn't know that Vermont had a summer season, I just had no idea how spectacular it was! The lushest green forests backed by the bluest of blue skies that I had ever seen. This was the place for me. The following summer I met my wife Susan on Cape Cod. In 1986 I began my real estate career in Stowe and "the rest is history".For me, Vermont has been the best place to live and raise my family. I continue to enjoy my connection with the outdoors, regularly spending time mountain biking, backcountry skiing, kayaking, and gardening.Being active professionally and in the local community, I have been honored twice, most recently in 2016, as the Lamoille Area Realtor of the Year. I have served as President of the Stowe Area Board of Realtors and as a school board chair. My commitment to the local youth has included volunteering as a ski instructor for the After School Elementary Ski Program for over 20 years, coaching on various local youth sports teams, and being a founding member of the Lamoille Union High School Boosters Club. Having received the 2012 Good Neighbor of the Year award for my work in the Hyde Park Elementary School as the Mentoring Program's coordinator is among my most cherished recognitions. I am a proud supporter of the Stowe Land Trust, the Vermont Nature Conservancy, and the Green Mountain Club. I enjoy the outdoors whether mountain biking, backcountry skiing or just walking in the woods. I am good at what I do and I think it shows which is why I enjoy the challenge of facilitating real estate transactions, and helping buyers and sellers find common ground so that everyone comes out a winner.
